The Exton Elite girls took to the ice for the first time this season at the 2017 Beantown Classic Showcase. Playing up into the highest bracket of Futures Red Division mainly comprised of the best U19/U20 teams in North America, our U15/U16 squad played some truly inspired hockey. The Elite battled their way through wars with perennial Canadian powerhouses Kingston and Brampton before culminating the event with an amazing performance against the multi-time National Champion Boston Jr. Eagles. Leading the way offensively for the Elite were Jess Ciarrocchi who tallied 2 Goals and an Assist, Jordan Hower and Joyce Sun who each lit the lamp once each. Lindsey Coffey also chipped in with an assist to to round out the scoring for Exton.  Although a tall task for the young Exton squad, defensively the Elite proved more than able as Goalie Cara Jandzio handled the lion-share of the load along with a lot of help from her defensive guardians Nicole Fitzgerald, Rachel Craig, Joyce Sun, Jessie Hess, Erin Conti and Alan Lamplugh. It was a total team effort all weekend as this years team begins to gel toward what will undoubtedly be another successful season both on and off the ice....way to go girls!!
